Please remember these were never intended as toys – anything you make will be your responsibility in terms of end-use, being fit for purpose and CE testing. The only thing that Clemintine lets get in the way of her achievements is a good party, she will take any excuse to put on a truly dreamy dress. there is something truly special about this lovely long-legged rabbit, be it the love that is hand-stitched into every inch, her exquisite wardrobe or the community, real and make belive that has grown around her.

I didn’t have the bother of tracing the patterns from the book and I knew the wool-blend felt provided would be the correct thickness and colour and have a much better look than a synthetic felt. The book includes full-size patterns to make Luna, Hugh the Hound, Rowan Squirrel, Daisy and Ramsey the Herdwicks, and Freya Fawn with all their gorgeous clothing. There are step-by-step instructions and diagrams for all of the clothes and the animals, and the templates are included at full-size so you can get sewing straight away.And now that I got thinking about this gem I had to share it before Easter (can you believe it’s Easter next week already?

If you’re into sewing super cute softies with big personalities, this book might just be up your ally. Ramsey has an earth-first approach to his life and his constant reusing and repurposing is a source of both great pride and annoyance to Daisy, his community-minded, extroverted wife. The coloured photographs are delightful and make you want to get to the sewing room and get started. Fabric kits are available from CoolCrafting or if this is not your first taste of Lunaverse, you can hunt out your own from your never decreasing stash!

Some of Lunas Friends and outfits are trickier than others but we say in our description and in our books we use a carrot guide as an indicator of diffuculty. This is a five star product,the patterns are easy to use and the sewing directions are easy to follow,even for a beginner. Once upon a time we created a tiny rabbity hare for big people, and now we have created a big bunny for little people – meet Flora Lapin, a slightly larger version of Luna reaching 24″ tall excluding ears. I really like that the whole book is about one project, that you of course can pick and choose from.

Plenty of beautiful images, tales to tell and outfits to make in miniature for the long winter evenings ahead as we all huddle under our wearable fleece blankets, clutching hotwater bottles.The perfect antidote to the goings on in the world right now, where right is right, everyone has good in them and everyone is smartly dressed in gorgeous outfits you would love in your own wardrobe. We can try, we know how frustrating it can be when you think you have enough wool but run out at the last moment. Please note this option isn’t available for everything but when it is there is almost always a PDF or Posted Paper version. One of the Cool Crafting ladies even phoned me to discuss the most suitable colour of thread which was really lovely of her.
