The Jura S8 and Jura Z10 are both excellent coffee machines. They’re similar in some ways, but they also have significant differences that should be taken into account before making your decision. As you probably already know, the Z10 is more expensive, and you probably want to ensure it’s worth the added cost. The middle of the machine sports a double spout for preparing espresso, ristretto, and coffee. So for these three drinks, you can prepare either one or two at a time. Milk-based drinks are prepared on the machine’s right using a single spout, so you can only make one at a time. But the same spout does produce both coffee and frothed milk, so there is no need to move your cup.

The new Jura E8 has up to 16 programmable beverages where the Jura S8 only has up to 15 programmable beverages. Both the Jura E8 and the Jura S8 have the same level of programmability, however, the Jura S8 allows you to save, copy and personalise your beverages. The bean hopper capacity is also the same. Both machines let you fill the hopper to about 280 grams. In terms of these machines’ ease of use, both the Jura E8 and Jura S8 are fairly simple to use. But the Jura S8 does take first place in this aspect with its 4.3-inch touch screen which the Jura E8 does not have. That’s it. The machine will do all the work, from brewing to frothing and cleaning afterward. You can also adjust the amount of milk and foam you want. I got the settings wrong once, but S8 makes it easy to cancel or adjust the settings as the machine pours, so I was able to avoid overfilling. Creating a perfect fine foam to put on top of your favorite latte, macchiato, cappuccino, or flat white will be easy with Jura S8. The Jura S8 has 15 pre-programmed speciality coffees of the sort you find at coffee shops, all available at the touch of a button. Both the Jura E8 and Jura S8 have the HP3/CX3 milk system and have an interchangeable milk spout. The only feature that the new Jura E8 has that the Jura S8 doesn’t is an automatic one-touch milk cleaning system. This is a very convenient feature when you forget about cleaning your milk spout as you do not want dried up milk in your machine. DesignOPTIMAL WATER PRESSURE: The Over Pressure Valve (OPV) is a commercial feature included in the Oracle Touch. This limits the maximum pressure throughout the extraction, helping prevent bitter flavors in the coffee shot. It also has true low pressure pre-infusion, which gradually increases the pressure to gently expand the grinds for an even extraction. Finally, Z8 has a One-Touch Americano function that uses a special prep method — the coffee and hot water are combined during the extraction process, so you get a full-bodied, light Americano.
