About this deal

The name says it all, this is a very green scent. The zesty powdery opening is superb and blends beautifully with the violet leaves. The drying down is woody ozonic, reminiscent of other ambergris-based Creed scents. Very natural green fragrance and I adore it on my partner. This is the first fragrance I have smelled that really reminds me of a barbershop, more exactly the water in the spray bottle that barbers use to dampen your hair and touches of the barbicide disinfectant. If I had to compare it with a more natural smell, I would say it smells like you just cut wet grass but also managed to mow down some violet flowers in the process. It has a very dewy and ozonic/airy character. Green Irish Tweed opens with top notes of iris and lemon verbena. The middle notes include violet leaves. The base notes are ambergris and Mysore sandalwood. Make-up and skincare services, BrowBar benefit, gifting and personalisation workshop, Sephora offers you a whole range of services to come and discover in store

This one for instance, was actually composed by the great Pierre Bourdon, who would go on to compose Cool Water, which this strongly resembles. JFC this stuff is so good. I've tried a ton of "fresh clean" scents, and they usually come off as too pungent for my nose. I perceive the soapy/white floral accords as far more pungent than most. But this stuff... I feel like every freshie is just trying to be like Green Irish Tweed. Davidoff Intense is fresh and modern aftershave, and an aftershave that I would be happy to use daily. I've never given Davidoff a chance due to a pre conceived impression but I was wrong, even my 12 year old preenager wants to borrow it. The bottle doesn't look anything special in my opinion and wouldn't inspire me to try it but I suppose never judge a book by it's cover.Green Irish Tweed by Creed is a classic Fougere fragrance. One of the signature scents of the house of Creed, this "walk through the Irish countrywide" is a favorite of many celebrities. The fragrance is rich, fresh, sporty and unforgettable. The combination of sandalwood, violet leaf, and citrus note is very common and very successful in fougere masculine fragrances and repeated again and again in many fragrances. It's classic. A good signature scent. So, If you’re looking to add a signature fresh cologne to your collection, Cool Water could be the one. Our Final Verdict Might not be intended for someone my age but man is this a GREAT scent. Used to spray this all over myself until I found BDC, and still wear it at home from time to time. The cool Water series is famous for it’s freshness. As all of these fragrances use rich notes, as a result, they all provide fantastic projection and longevity. The performance level of these fragrances is almost similar.

Don’t worry! After testing these colognes on myself, I have rounded out their similarities and differences to help you make an informed decision. I still love this but despite my always purchasing from an AD in Paris (these days), it doesn't seem to have the mileage or the sillage any longer and, given that even Cool Water doesn't really smell like Cool Water any longer, the two are no longer as close as once they were.I chose Green Irish Tweed to tell what I think about Creed perfumes, just because it is one of the most recognizable in the house production. This is quite a legendary fragrance and, for sure, an amazing scent. Fresh and metallic but in a solid way (no "sport edition") , superbly crafted and surely distinctive. The opening is really captivating with lemon verbena and amber (ambroxan) working perfectly for an almost chilling effect while in the drydown it gets a little bit warmer with the note of sandalwood. It has a good sillage and reasonable lasting power. A cult scent for many of us, BUT... Despite these attributes, it is a fairly versatile fragrance. It can be worn to an event but also outdoor, for a walk while you still maintaining a line of good taste in terms of clothing.

dihydromyrcenol. You can go into a “green” freshwater direction (GIT, Aspen) or a blue saltwater direction (Cool Water). I have smelled and tested almost all of them and GIT is by far the best smelling fragrance and it probably does contain good quality naturals too. According to my research it also really was the first fragrance of that style, created of course by pierre bourdon, don’t get fooled by creed. If you smell them side by side GIT even smells quite different than CW not just of higher quality, but make no mistake: that note of dihydromyrcenol is always there and will trigger peoples MEMORY of cool water even though they are not that similar if you smell them side by side and are a fraghead. But for the average Joe it will be cool water because of that memory association he has with its main component: dihydromyrcenol.I own this and tres nuit by armaf. Both are good fragrances but this one is much superior in its scent. It is very smooth and you can tell they used the best ingredients for this one. Armaf tres nuit smells synthetic and not in a good way. Performance on both is similar, creed’s being better thankfully. The claim that it's a family perfumery, and that all the perfumes are composed by the Creed's: FALSE. They are both playing the same song (“Greensleeves”, perhaps?) But, while CW is a rudimentary performance by a middle-schooler on a Casio keyboard, GIT is being performed by a world-class pianist on a Steinway grand in a concert hall.
